"Somewhere in Hollywood" arrives today!
plus goodies, charities, and sparkles for Valentine's Day.
Happy Valentine’s Day! The sun is shining here in Île-de-France, and I’m about to walk to my Friday guitar class but wanted to share the news that Somewhere in Hollywood officially comes out today in all its pink lattice glory. It’s been a wonderful week leading up to the launch with #Bookstagram and #BookTok taking to my two cynical yet hopeful 20-somethings wandering Hollywood in 2004. Here’s what some had to say:
“Touching, fierce, romantic in a good way, sharp-witted [from] a very talented author. I pretty much loved everything about this.” - Book Mark! ★★★★★
“Cool world building [of L.A.] and music references. A fun read!” - Aibiby Reads ★★★★
“Navigates the complexities of growth and connection [with] a poignant blend of humor and melancholy….a heartfelt exploration.” - The Bookish Hermit ★★★★★
“Hooked! Vivid and realistic, it played out like a movie. Definitely a read everyone needs for 2025!” - Titles with Tyler ★★★★★
“Everything about this book feels real and true. This is such a fantastic series. I can’t wait to see what’s next!” - Stratosphere Girl Reads
“Lots of sass, illuminating prose…one for music lovers.” - TB Honest Book Reviews
For this book launch, we had a little fun designing some exclusive themed goodies that have made for fun gifts for fans and friends. For a limited time, I’d be happy to send both a book mark and a candy packet with purchase of a paperback, so please let me know by responding to this e-mail.
And finally, all proceeds for the launch of Somewhere in Hollywood (now until the Spring Equinox on March 20th, 2025) will be donated to both Pasadena Humane and MusiCares to support animals and music professionals impacted by the Los Angeles fires. I am delighted to do this and wish I could do more, but every little bit helps, so I have to trust that.
So, that’s it. You can find the retail links here at the bottom of the page and I hope to see you somewhere in Hollywood. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Oh, and on a last note: For my music aficionados, check out yesterday’s vinyl diaries that takes us back to the ‘90s. Revisiting early Hole releases with art direction that’s just so Valentines Day-centric and music so loud, so brazen, it’s not just pretty in pink, but pretty in punk.
Was so excited when this one showed up at my door! Been following your adventures since the blogging in Paris days and wish you all the success in the world!
