The first tape I ever bought with my own hard-earned money was The Beatles’ Please Please Me. I was all of 11 years old and was mighty proud of myself. This kickstarted my insane fanatical love affair with collecting things - records, books, robots - to the point of obsession. This, I’m not mighty proud of.
I collect things as well. I try not to because my mind goes to a morbid place thinking of my son having to rid himself of all of my hobbies when I'm no longer here but I have a lot of gadgets and gismos of plenty, for sure. My first tape was Vacation by the Go-Gos!
I like the vintage feel in the opening photo. One of my articles includes a French translation believe it had Love in the title. Titles I create but there are many, so forgive the vague direction. My Grandmother was Acadian so I would like to include French readership in my audience. My french has sadly deteriorated as no one to converse with here 😕 I have prepared a Separate Substack to be all in French. I may transfer articles from my other publication
Hi De, Thanks for commenting. I'm actually a French-speaking American in France, who prefers to read in English, so no worries from me on the untranslated newsletter! I'll check out your newsletter avec grand plaisir!
